PALFINGER MARINE is seeking a Service Engineer to ensure reliable operation of lifeboats, davit/winch systems, cranes and life-saving equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems while adhering to HSE and quality standards.

Travel to offshore locations as needed, prepare accurate service reports, and contribute to continuous improvement in marine equipment service.

Qualifications

• Solid technical background with hands-on hydraulic and mechanical experience.
• Several years of marine/offshore service experience.
• Experience servicing, maintaining, and optimizing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of cranes, hydraulic systems, and electrical components in marine contexts.

Responsabilités

• Perform service, commissioning, inspections on lifeboats, davit/winch systems, cranes, and life-saving equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and overhaul mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic control systems.
• Apply hydraulics, electronics and mechanical knowledge to optimize equipment performance and resolve issues.
• Prepare accurate service reports, inspection records and technical documentation.
• Work in line with HSE policies, standards, procedures and support continuous improvement tasks.

Our Service Engineers ensure reliable operation and high availability of PALFINGER equipment by providing technical expertise in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. They support customers and service partners with efficient diagnostics and solutions, contributing to high service quality and customer satisfaction. Through their technical knowledge and close collaboration with internal teams, they help maintain PALFINGER’s performance and reputation in the field.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform service, commissioning, annual inspections, and 5-year inspections on lifeboats, davit/winch systems, PALFINGER cranes, and life‑saving equipment at customer sites
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and overhaul complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic control systems to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation
• Apply technical expertise in hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical systems to optimize equipment performance and resolve field‑related technical issues
• Prepare accurate service reports, inspection records, and technical documentation to support clear communication and compliance requirements
• Work in accordance with company strategy, HSE policies, quality standards, procedures, and applicable regulations while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting additional assigned tasks as needed

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Solid technical background with extensive hands‑on experience in hydraulic systems and mechanical equipment
• Several years of marine/offshore service experience with the ability to operate effectively in demanding offshore environments
• Proven experience servicing, maintaining, and optimizing complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of cranes, hydraulic systems, and electrical components within marine or fishing industry environments
• Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods to offshore locations as required
