Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Mental Health Counselor for our Crisis Stabilization Unit. The role involves working as part of a treatment team to provide a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and families in a time of need.

The unit operates 24/7 and focuses on short-term residential stabilization for psychiatric and/or substance use disorders. The counselor will participate in care planning, coordinate with other providers, and support aftercare planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsabilités

• Assist in admitting, discharging and transferring patients while ensuring safety and data accuracy.
• Provide supportive, respectful, non-judgmental care to adults and help meet treatment goals.
• Support Case Management duties with one-on-one contact and collaboration with providers and referral sources.
• Lostermediate liaison to inpatient facilities, case managers, psychiatrists, therapists, clinicians, and families to maintain communications.
