AliExpress seeks a commercial legal counsel to join its growing European legal team. The attorney will be based in Paris and advise on EU expansion, commercial contracts, compliance, and cross-border trade. You will work with business teams and manage interactions with regulators.

The role requires 5–7 years of relevant in-house or comparable experience, fluency in English, and ideally additional EU language skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in an EU jurisdiction.
• In-house experience at e-commerce or multinational preferred.
• Solid understanding of cross-border trade and regulatory challenges.
• English proficiency required; French and/or Chinese a plus.

Responsabilités

• Advise on legal aspects of platform expansion in Europe.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and commercial policies.
• Manage regulatory investigations and respond to government requests.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and internal business teams.
• Develop in-house legal tools and conduct trainings for business units.
