Job summary

The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) invites an Intern in Environmental and Social Sustainability to join the ESS Unit within the TAM Directorate. The intern will support due diligence on social and environmental safeguards, contribute to climate change assessments, and collaborate with internal partners to enhance environmental, social and climate outcomes.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or current students in related fields with strong analytical, writing and teamwork skills,

Qualifications

• Graduated within the past 24 months or currently enrolled in final year (Master’s level or equivalent).
• Studies in social studies, political sciences, community development, planning, applied economics, environmental sciences or related discipline.
• Courses on climate risks and resilience are assets.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to social and environmental safeguards due diligence of new project proposals.
• Draft questionnaires and review answers from Borrowers.
• Review existing legislative requirements and assist in final drafting of the due diligence assessment.
