Next Ventures seeks a Senior Business Analyst to elicit, analyze and document business needs, translating them into detailed functional specifications while bridging business and technical teams. The role involves frequent travel across Europe to ensure alignment with stakeholders and project objectives.

You will refine business processes, define test strategies, support Run/BAU activities, and contribute to post-project reviews.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with complex systems.
• Proven ability to gather, structure, and document requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across business/technical teams.
• Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycles (Agile/Waterfall/hybrid).
• Experience with third-party vendors and solution providers.
• Ability to challenge business needs and optimize processes.
• Experience in requirements engineering, business cases, testing, and process modeling.

Responsabilités

Travel: Frequently to multiple sights across Europe

Duration: 12 months + extensions

Responsibilities:

• Elicit, analyze, and document business needs and user requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness (e.g., user stories, use cases) using tools such as Confluence.
• Translate validated business requirements into clear, structured, and detailed functional specifications aligned with business objectives.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are well understood, feasible, and correctly implemented.
• Review, challenge, and improve existing business processes by identifying inefficiencies and proposing optimized solutions.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to validate functional designs and ensure alignment with requirements.
• Define and execute test strategies, including writing test cases and validating solutions against documented requirements.
• Support defect analysis, root-cause identification, and resolution during testing and post-implementation phases.
• Document business processes using modeling tools (e.g., BiZZdesign) and contribute to maintaining the enterprise process repository.
• Support transition-to-operations (Run/BAU) activities by ensuring proper documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Contribute to project closure activities, including post-project reviews and lessons learned documentation (REX / Post-Mortem).
• Provide functional support and guidance to end users, ensuring effective adoption of delivered solutions.
• Identify, analyze, and communicate risks and issues to the project manager while proposing mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate coordination among business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment on requirements and deliverables.
• Prepare analysis deliverables, reports, and stakeholder communications regarding progress, requirement status, and risks.
• Support backlog refinement and prioritization discussions by providing detailed requirement insights (without owning prioritization decisions).

Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (or similar role).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex systems and business processes.
• Proven ability to gather, structure, and document business and functional requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across both business and technical audiences.
• Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
• Experience collaborating with development teams and solution architects.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and solution providers.
• Ability to critically assess and challenge business needs and existing processes.
• Experience in:
• Requirements engineering (business and functional requirements documentation)
• Business case preparation and analysis
• Test planning, test case drafting, and validation activities
• Process modeling and continuous improvement
• Supporting project planning and delivery coordination
