Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in France seeks an experienced sales trader to develop client relationships and promote HSBC’s equity execution capabilities. You will collaborate with Traders, Product, Technology, and Control teams to deliver high-quality client outcomes and support revenue growth across electronic and high-touch platforms.

The role emphasizes market knowledge, client-focused service, and strict regulatory compliance, with a strong lens on risk management and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of economic and financial market mechanics.
• Proven experience in sales trading / financial markets sales.
• Holds the required local market licences, qualifications, and regulatory certifications for sales and trading activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in marketing and distribution of HSBC’s electronic execution capabilities, including algorithms and low-touch services.
• Provide clients with market colour, updates, and product information to strengthen engagement and identify sales opportunities.
• Support institutional client coverage by understanding execution needs and promoting platform adoption.
• Support day-to-day operations of the high-touch equities desk, handling client queries and coordinating follow-up.
• Partner with Institutional Sales to grow business opportunities and adapt product offerings to client needs.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, trading, Research, and internal teams across risk, Finance, IT, and Front Office.
• Manage operational risk and stay compliant with regulatory, AML, sanctions, anti-corruption, tax, and sustainability requirements.
