Job summary

Corning seeks an Environmental Engineer to act as the primary environmental compliance owner for the Vineland, NJ facility, collaborating with division and corporate resources to implement environmental strategies and regulatory programs.

The role emphasizes permit management, sustainability support, risk reduction, and alignment with corporate requirements, with health and safety support as priorities evolve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years in environmental health and safety engineering, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (air, water, hazardous waste, and compliance).

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve the site's environmental management system (ISO 14001).
• Oversee environmental compliance activities including monitoring, inspections, testing, recordkeeping, and reporting.
• Manage site environmental permits and programs (Title V, NJPDES, stormwater, hazardous waste, etc.).
• Support hazardous waste compliance for Large Quantity Generator site (waste determinations, inspections, training, vendor coordination).
• Provide environmental guidance and training to employees and leaders.
