Required Capabilities and Technical Development Objectives
The Apprentice Will Progressively Learn To
  • Apply Systems Engineering principles in accordance with ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 across the entire system lifecycle.
  • Formalize requirements using a verifiable structure:
    • SHALL + Action Verb + Object + Measurable Criterion
  • Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML to ensure consistency between needs, functions, architecture, interfaces, components, and verification activities.
  • Understand multidisciplinary engineering domains, including:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electronics
    • Automation and Control
    • Industrial Computing
    • Instrumentation
    • Embedded Sensors
  • Apply Verification and Validation (V&V) methodologies, including MAVT/MAQT, inspection, analysis, demonstration, and testing.
  • Assess compliance through documented test evidence, measurement uncertainty evaluation, and clear conformity statements.
  • Communicate effectively through technical reports, engineering reviews, and professional English presentations.
