About the Role

As an Operations Group Lead, you will play a key role in the success of Reactor Services activities by managing and developing a team of operational professionals while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

You will oversee a team of approximately 10 to 20 employees, ranging from Field Technicians and Supervisors to Project Managers, supporting the execution of critical nuclear services across France and occasionally within the Europe, Middle East & Africa (ELA) region.

This position combines people leadership, operational excellence, resource planning, and customer-focused service delivery in a highly regulated and technically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
  • Lead and coordinate operational teams responsible for on-site project execution within the Reactor Services Special Projects portfolio.
  • Support the delivery of key contracts, including:
    • Fuel inspection televisual services
    • Reactor vessel opening and closing support activities
    • Mechanical Stress Improvement Process (MSIP) projects
    • Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) inspection systems
    • Upper Internals component replacement programs
  • Ensure activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer contracts and Westinghouse procedures.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to support teams and ensure operational performance.
  • Build and maintain a strong safety, quality, and customer-focused culture.
  • Assign qualified personnel to projects based on customer requirements, competencies, and operational needs.
  • Optimize workforce utilization across projects and activities.
  • Foster team engagement and ensure compliance with Westinghouse policies and standards.
  • Identify recruitment needs and support workforce planning initiatives.
Talent Development
  • Develop and implement training and development plans for team members.
  • Set clear objectives and monitor individual and team performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
  • Promote cross-training and workforce flexibility to support business needs.
Resource & Budget Management
  • Ensure the availability of equipment, tools, and materials required for project execution.
  • Participate in defining annual operating budgets.
  • Manage resources efficiently to support project delivery and cost optimization.
  • Proactively identify and resolve resource conflicts.
Technical Leadership
  • Leverage operational feedback and field experience to support product improvement and innovation.
  • Provide technical insight to support business growth and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Project Management teams.
Accountabilities
  • Ensure the performance, engagement, and development of the operational team.
  • Deliver adequate resource capacity to support project execution in coordination with Project Managers.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Proactively identify risks and propose optimization and arbitration solutions when conflicts arise.

The operational team is predominantly deployed on customer sites across France, with occasional assignments within the ELA region.

You will work closely with:

  • Project Managers
  • Product Management teams
  • Contract Managers
  • Engineering teams
  • Local support functions
  • Customer representatives

This role requires regular travel and flexibility to support operational activities on-site when needed.

Profile
Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in engineering, industrial services, field operations, or project delivery.
  • Previous experience managing teams and operational activities is highly desirable.
  • Experience within the nuclear industry is strongly valued.
Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of nuclear services and operational environments.
  • Knowledge of project planning and resource management.
  • Understanding of business processes, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
