Mistral is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to build and develop the core platform for AI products. The role blends hands-on coding with strategic leadership, shaping a scalable infrastructure for developers and users.

You will split your time between coding and guiding the team, driving project planning, stakeholder collaboration, and mentorship to foster growth and long-term success.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and at least one web framework.
• Proficiency in C#, Golang, TypeScript and at least one web framework.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience building and leading engineering teams.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, such as Product, Design, and Business.
• Knowledge of databases, caching mechanisms, and messaging systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ownership mindset and ability to ship products end-to-end.
• Excellent communication skills and a low-ego, team-first attitude.

The Role

As an Engineering Team Lead, you will build and develop the core platform that supports our AI products. This role combines technical execution with leadership, ensuring our systems work effectively for developers and users.

Your work will directly improve the developer experience, making it more efficient and intuitive. The team builds reliable infrastructure that supports our products and enables seamless integration for both internal and external users.

You will split your time between hands-on coding and strategic leadership, including project planning, stakeholder collaboration, and team growth. This balance allows you to drive technical solutions while guiding the team toward long-term success.

What You Will Do

• Proficiency in C#, Golang, TypeScript and at least one web framework.

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, such as Product, Design, and Business.

• Knowledge of databases, caching mechanisms, and messaging systems.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Ownership mindset and ability to ship products end-to-end.

• Excellent communication skills and a low-ego, team-first attitude.
