Datadog is seeking an Engineering Manager for Husky, the petabyte-scale event store at the heart of our Event Platform. You will lead a team responsible for ingestion, storage, compaction, and query performance across mass data and scale to exabyte levels.

You will partner with product teams, review architecture, RFCs, and PRs, mentor engineers, and own on-call resilience. This hybrid role offers collaboration and growth opportunities within a leading observability company.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineering teams and delivering high-quality software products.
• Hands-on experience with Java or Go and a background in distributed systems.
• On-call experience, leading incident responses, post mortems and remediation.
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience in career development and performance management.

Responsabilités

• Manage a team of software engineers, focusing on career development, inclusivity, and high impact.
• Be a technical leader, reviewing architecture decisions, RFCs, and pull requests.
• Partner with product teams to evaluate use cases and prioritize platform capabilities.
• Share on-call responsibilities and foster operational excellence.
• Scale a petabyte-scale database to exabyte-scale levels.
