Datadog is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Evaluation & Annotation team in a hybrid, France-based role. You will lead 4–6 engineers and shape the technical roadmap in collaboration with AI platform and Applied AI teams.

Qualifications

• Software engineering leadership experience, tech lead or people manager.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build high-performing teams.
• Interest in early stage AI projects with rapid iteration.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality software on schedule.
• Hands-on leader with backend, data engineering and infrastructure experience.

Responsabilités

• Manage and grow the Evaluation & Annotation team, directly managing 4-6 engineers
• Define our technical roadmap aligned with AI platform and Applied AI team
• Collaborate with core platform teams to tailor storage and data pipelines
• Foster a strong team culture aligned with engineering standards and customer focus
• Participate in hands-on work: code reviews, design reviews, and some coding
