Cozycozy in Paris is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Product & Tech team, guiding software delivery from conception to production with a focus on quality and predictable releases.

You will bridge Product and Engineering, shaping technical solutions, mentoring engineers, and building a realistic roadmap that balances capacity and technical constraints while championing autonomy and collaboration.

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join Cozycozy’s Product & Tech team. Your role will be to lead the Engineering team and ensure the successful delivery of projects, from conception through to production, while ensuring a smooth, predictable, and high-quality delivery process.

Working at the intersection of Product and Engineering, you will bring a strong product mindset and technical understanding to turn product ambitions into concrete solutions, while supporting and developing the Engineering team.

Key responsabilities

Project planning and delivery

• Ensure projects are delivered on time and to the expected level of quality.

• Organize and oversee the Engineering team's delivery.

• Quickly identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, and put the necessary actions in place to address them.

• Ensure the team has sufficient visibility on priorities, timelines, and upcoming deadlines.

• Ensure high-quality production releases and a smooth release process.

• Continuously improve development and delivery methods and processes.

• Estimate the resources required to achieve the team's objectives.

Briding Product and Engineering

• Work closely with the Product team from the earliest stages of product discovery and design.

• Contribute to defining technical solutions that effectively address product challenges.

• Challenge requirements and proposed solutions from both a technical and product perspective.

• Ensure that technical considerations, constraints, and dependencies are factored into product decisions.Facilitate communication and collaboration between Product and Engineering.

• Help build a realistic roadmap that balances Engineering capacity and technical considerations.

Ensuring technical quality

• Ensure the maintainability, robustness, and scalability of the solutions we build.

• Promote best practices in development, testing, documentation, and code reviews.

• Ensure performance, security, and reliability considerations are properly addressed.

• Contribute to architectural choices and key technical decisions

Managing and developing the Engineering team

• Manage, support, and help developers grow professionally.

• Provide clear visibility on objectives, expectations, and priorities.

• Establish and facilitate team rituals and ways of working.

• Identify hiring needs and contribute to building and scaling the team.

• Foster autonomy, ownership, and collaboration within the team.

• Build an environment where developers where developers can thrive and consistently deliver high-quality work

About you

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Engineering / Software Development environments.

• Proven experience managing projects and delivery cycles.

• Experience working in an agile product environment.

• Previous experience managing a team of software developers.
