About the role

At cozycozy, we’re building the world’s best accommodation metasearch platform making travel simple, transparent, and inspiring. We already process millions of searches, and we’re growing fast. To keep up, we’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who’s excited to work on real-time systems, fresh data pipelines, and scalable APIs that power travel discovery for users around the world. You’ll write clean, high-quality code and take part in continuously evolving our features based on real user needs.

The position is a hybrid role based in our office in central Paris.

Your mission

You’ll join our engineering team and take end-to-end ownership of the backend systems that make cozycozy.com run.

In your first months, you’ll:

• Evolve our core APIs to deliver millions of fresh results, fast by helping users find the right stay in a few clicks.
• Design and build scalable services that manage high-volume data streams from dozens of partners.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions to prepare our platform for rapid growth.
• Work closely with product and data to ship new features that directly impact travelers’ choices
• Continuously improve performance and reliability because in travel search, speed is everything

This is a role for someone who loves to build, experiment, and iterate quickly. You won’t just maintain systems, you’ll invent them.

About you

You’re not just a backend engineer, you’re someone who likes to own problems end-to-end and ship solutions that make an immediate difference.

You might be a great fit if you have:

• Strong experience with Node.js + TypeScript/JavaScript and RxJS
• Deep knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and caching systems (Redis, Dragonfly)
• Experience designing and maintaining REST/gRPC APIs (GraphQL is a plus)
• Hands-on exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and modern CI/CD practices
• Comfort working with queue systems (Google Pub/Sub, SQS) and event-driven architectures
• Motivation to be in an international (English speaking) work environment
• Experience handling streams of live data in a marketplace-like ecosystem
• A product mindset. You care about user experience and data freshness as much as technical elegance

Bonus: If you’ve worked with GoLang or Python, real-time analytics, or large-scale search platforms.
