Job summary

Qualcomm France S.A.R.L. is seeking a Software Applications Engineer to support WLAN driver development and customer debugging across WiFi6/WiFi7/WiFi8 platforms.

You will debug and analyze logs for WLAN SoCs, collaborate with global teams, and help bring up APs and chipsets while addressing performance and stability issues. Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of hands-on WLAN/Linux driver experience, strong C/C++ skills, and familiarity with TCP/IP networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (4+ years in Software Applications Engineering)
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (3+ years)
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (2+ years)
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python
• 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques

General Summary

As a member of Qualcomm WIN Customer Engineering Team, candidates would be responsible for supporting the Qualcomm customers of Wifi6/Wifi7/Wifi8 Access Points/WLAN chipsets. Job responsibilities include end-to-end debugging and the log analysis of issues on various WLAN SoCs/chipsets that include AP bring up, management and data path procedures, advance WLAN features, functional, performance, and stability issues, troubleshooting of various networking and offload protocols, software and hardware issues. Candidate would collaborate with global teams and work closely with customers as well as Internal teams (marketing, product managers, sales, and development, test) worldwide to analyze, debug, resolve & propagate fixes for the product.

Skills/Experience

• At least 3-6 years of relevant hands‑on technical experience in WLAN/Linux driver development/sustenance/support.
• Familiar with TCP/IP and other current Networking protocols (UDP, DHCP, ICMP, Bridging, routing and etc.)
• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• Experience with customer support and debugging techniques.
• Software development and System Architecture on ARM based Linux platforms.
• Software version control systems (such as GIT, Perforce etc.) for large scale software development.
• WLAN driver development experience is an added advantage.
• Able to travel abroad.
• Excellent communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 3-6 years of relevant hands‑on debugging experience in WLAN/Linux driver/firmware development with customer interaction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role, Experience in Software Applications Engineering, Linux driver or Firmware or related work experience.
• Knowledge of embedded SW for Linux, OpenWrt, prprlos, ATF/OP-TEE or RDK-B
• Experience with embedded processor platforms and Mesh networking solution.
