A leading international consulting firm is seeking an experienced Energy Economist to lead a study on clean energy opportunities in the Karlovy Vary region. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree, fluency in English, and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial assessment of clean energy projects. This position is based in Czechia and requires strong analytical skills. Interested candidates should apply via provided channels.

Overview

NTU International A / S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EIB funded project called : Transformation of the Karlovy Vary Region 2026+ and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

The overall objective of this assignment is for a consultant (the “Service Provider”) to carry out a Study on Karlovy Vary region’s economic opportunities and challenges for the transition to a green economy and energy system (the “Project”).

Location: Karlovy Vary Region, Czech Republic.

Duration: The intended start date is October 2025 and the services shall be provided for a period of 9 months from this date.

Key Expert: Energy economist (Cat. II)

Qualifications and skills
  • At least bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance or Economics ( minimum requirement ).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required (CEFR C1) ( minimum requirement ).
  • Fluency in written and spoken Czech will be considered as an asset .
  • Computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams), proven proficiency in using Excel.
General professional experience
  • Minimum of 10-years of relevant professional experience in financial and economic assessment of the clean energy investment projects ( minimum requirement ).
Specific professional experience
  • At least 7-years’ experience in financial and economic assessment of clean energy generation projects and proven by at least 5 projects ( minimum requirement ).
  • Proven experience in clean energy project financing will be considered an asset .
  • Experience working in Czechia will be considered as an asset .
  • International experience will be considered as an asset .
