Job summary

Attis is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer (Sensors & Navigation) in Paris to own the core C++ firmware, sensor fusion pipelines, and onboard state estimation for autonomous marine and edge navigation systems.

Ideally you have hands-on experience in embedded C++, RTOS, EKF, and sensor calibration across DVL, IMU, and GNSS. This on-site role includes equity and a competitive base salary, with flexible working benefits.

Embedded Software Engineer (Sensors & Navigation), Paris, Beetween €90,000-125,000 base + equity

Embedded Software Engineers sought for a well-funded, high-growth defense & robotics scaleup building autonomous marine and edge navigation systems. We are seeking true Systems Builders to take full ownership of the vehicle’s core C++ firmware, sensor fusion pipelines, and onboard state estimation - connecting low-level hardware directly to physical vehicle behavior in real-world environments.

The company is developing high-speed, autonomous edge platforms designed to operate in complex, real-world environments. Its technology combines robust embedded software architecture, multi-sensor data fusion, and advanced navigation filters to deliver continuous operational capability without reliance on constant cloud connectivity or external positioning assets.

Offering a competitive base salary of 90,000 - 125,000 EUR depending on experience + equity, based on-site in Paris with flexible working benefits.

Ideally you will have experience performing engineering design in one or more of the following areas:

• Embedded C++ & Real-Time Firmware: Hands-on experience structuring embedded C++ codebases, managing real-time constraints (RTOS, latency, concurrency, memory allocation), and working directly with registers, DMA, FPU, and low-level drivers.


• State Estimation & Sensor Fusion: Experience developing Extended Kalman Filters (EKF), sensor calibration algorithms, and estimation pipelines to drive vehicle navigation.


• Sensor Data Pipelines: Proven ability to integrate, calibrate, and synchronize payload sensors (DVL, IMU, Compass, GNSS) over embedded communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I²C, CAN).


• Field Testing & System Validation (Preferred but NOT essential): Experience debugging hardware/software boundaries during physical vehicle trials, developing diagnostic tools, or performing telemetry data analysis in Python.
