ixolabs.ai is seeking a test automation engineer to design and review end-to-end test workflows aligning device requirements with measurement setup and evidence. You will evaluate automation using LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or C and interpret results to identify errors, documenting test logic and corrective actions.

Remote assignments are possible with flexible scheduling; strong background in automated electrical testing and instrumentation interfaces (GPIB/SCPI/Ethernet/RS-232/CAN) is essential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate in electrical/electronics engineering or related discipline with practical industry testing experience.
• Experience building or operating automated electrical test systems and programming in LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, C/C++ or equivalent.
• Familiarity with instrumentation interfaces (Ethernet, USB, GPIB, SCPI, CAN, RS-232/485).

Work you will do

• Create or review test workflows that connect the device requirement, measurement setup and acceptance evidence.
• Evaluate automation using the relevant Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C or instrument-control interfaces.
• Interpret measurements, identify instrumentation or process errors, and document test logic and practical corrective steps.

Required background and routes

• A relevant bachelor's, master's or doctorate in electrical/electronics engineering, instrumentation, mechatronics or a related discipline, alongside practical industry testing experience.
• Build or operate automated electrical test systems, interpret schematics/specifications and program in LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, C/C+• or an equivalent language.
• Use instrumentation and acquisition/control interfaces appropriate to your work: examples include Ethernet, USB, GPIB, SCPI, CAN or RS-232/485.

Preferred background

• ATE, PXI/PXIe, DAQ, NI hardware, TestStand, custom fixtures, HIL/SIL or regression automation; power electronics, batteries, EVs, motors, embedded hardware, high voltage or safety-critical testing.

Deliverables

Submit the completed technical artifact or assessment with its supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks where applicable, and concise reasons for each material judgment. Address review findings within the agreed scope.

Location and schedule

Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. Availability planning can include 40 hours per week depending on the track. IXO confirms the applicable timing before work.

Pay and working terms

$75 - $90/hr USD. The agreed hourly rate, scope, schedule and acceptance criteria are confirmed before work starts. Applying does not guarantee an assignment.
