Assala Energy Gabon seeks an Electrical Specialist to join the Maintenance Fly team, maintaining electrical installations and leading major maintenance activities across sites.

You will replace Supervisors when absent, mentor trainees, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure safe, reliable operation while complying with HSSE standards and contributing to cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Engineering diploma or equivalent required; postgraduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in Oil & Gas operations/maintenance.
• Experience in technical management of operations.
• Knowledge of SAP and process control systems is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Replacing Electrical Supervisors during their absence and supervise electrical teams.
• Troubleshooting and maintaining electrical equipment per vendor specs.
• Mentoring and transferring skills to trainees.
• Providing technical leadership and analyzing day-to-day issues.
• Preparing, organizing, and executing major maintenance activities.
• Supporting maintenance and reliability strategies development.
• Reviewing procedures for critical electrical equipment to ensure safety.
• Collaborating with engineering to integrate reliability into new designs.
• Participating in HAZOP/HAZID studies as required.
• Ensuring compliance with HSSE Management Standards in all operations.
• Promoting HSSE behaviors and process safety management.
• Driving ESG awareness and leading environmental initiatives.
• Conducting studies to optimize costs and enhance equipment reliability.
• Monitoring performance and identifying improvement opportunities.

Joining our dynamic "Maintenance Fly team", you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth and secure functioning of our electrical installations across various locations, supporting our comprehensive asset portfolio.

Your main areas of responsibility will include:

• Replacing Electrical Supervisors during their absence and supervise electrical teams.
• Troubleshooting and maintaining electrical equipment as per vendor specifications.
• Mentoring and transferring skills to trainees, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Providing technical leadership and analyzing day-to-day operational issues.
• Preparing, organizing, and executing major maintenance activities.
• Supporting the development of maintenance and reliability strategies.
• Reviewing procedures for critical electrical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Collaborating with engineering to integrate reliability and maintainability best practices into new designs.

• Ensuring compliance with Assala Energy’s HSSE Management Standards in all production operations.
• Promoting proactive HSSE behaviors and process safety management.
• Driving ESG awareness and leading initiatives to meet company objectives regarding environmental impact.
• Conducting studies and projects to optimize operational costs and enhance equipment reliability.
• Monitoring process and equipment performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implement changes.

• Hold a diploma of Engineering or equivalent.
• Hold a postgraduate degree and specialized experience in the Oil & Gas industry or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in Oil and Gas operations and/or maintenance.
• Proven track-record in technical management of operations and/or maintenance.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software, particularly in SAP, PI OSISOFT / PLC & ICSS is a plus.
• Specific professional knowledge in industrial combustion gas turbines, power generator, centrifugal & reciprocating compressor, centrifugal & reciprocating pumps.
• An open-minded individual, with excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to confidently present and defend proposals, and provide innovative solutions.
• Fluent in both English and French with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
