TotalEnergies OneTech in Pau, France, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to bring electrical expertise to cross-functional teams supporting electrification and reliability across assets. You will deploy preventive and corrective maintenance for critical equipment like VSDs and ESPs, analyze failures, optimize drive systems, and monitor key performance indicators to reduce downtime.

French and English fluency, SAP experience, and willingness to travel internationally are required for this senior

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master’s in maintenance, electrical or related field.

Within TotalEnergies OneTech, the Operational Excellence Support (EOS) department is a multidisciplinary team of around 20 engineers supporting the Company's various branches and assets in improving their operational performance.

In this cross-functional and international environment, the Maintenance Engineer provides expertise to operational teams on maintenance-related issues, particularly electrical topics, to support the electrification of the Company's assets. In particular, they contribute to improving equipment reliability and availability, optimizing facility performance and controlling operating costs.

The position involves regular interactions with the various OneTech disciplines, operations and maintenance teams, as well as international assets.

Activities

As part of your role, you will provide your expertise and support to operations on maintenance-related issues. In this capacity, you will be responsible for:

• Deploying and optimizing preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for critical equipment, particularly Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs);
• Providing technical support on the drive systems of critical compression trains(electric motors, variable speed drives, transformers, protection and control systems) in order to improve their reliability, availability and operational performance ;
• Participating, within multidisciplinary teams, infailure analysis and technical diagnostics on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment, and coordinating corrective actions to minimize production downtime ;
• Performing or leading electrical and energy performance analyses, including the assessment of the efficiency of motors, variable speed drives and drive systems, in order to maximize availability while reducing energy consumption ;
• Developing and deploying condition monitoring and data analysis solutions aimed at improving the early detection of deterioration and reducing unplanned downtime ;
• Analyzing and managing electrical power quality issues (harmonics, resonances, power factor, imbalances, transients), and defining appropriate technical solutions to ensure facility compliance, reliability and performance ;
• Monitoring and improving maintenance performance through key indicators: MTBF, MTTR, availability and costs ;
• Optimizing spare parts and critical inventory management and contributing to maintenance reviews andLean Operating Model (LOM) initiatives ;
• Providing independent expertise to affiliates during study and consultation phases by assessing technical proposals from OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), risk analyses, expected performance and associated maintenance strategies ;
• Presenting study results and makingrecommendations aimed at improving the reliability, availability and operational performance of facilities while controlling OPEX.

Candidate Profile

You hold an engineering degree / Master's degree (Bac+5 equivalent), ideally in maintenance, electrical engineering, electrotechnical engineering or a related industrial field, and have at least 10 years of significant experience in industrial maintenance, with direct exposure to operations or operational support.

• You have strong skills in preventive and corrective maintenance, with a strong electrical focus;
• You are proficient infailure analysis, technical diagnostics and the monitoring of keymaintenance performance indicators;
• Knowledge of VSDs (Variable Speed Drives) and ESPs (Electrical Submersible Pumps) would be a significant asset ;
• You are comfortable using anERP system, particularly SAP;
• You are fluent in French and English and available for regular international travel;
• You are familiar with low- and medium-voltage electrical drive systems. The following electrical authorizations will be required : BC-B1-B1V-B2-B2V-BR-HC-H1-H1V-H2-H2V.

Experience in the Oil & Gas sector, in an international environment or in commissioning/start-up activities would be appreciated.
