Job summary

Cargill is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Associate to join our team. You will work with experienced professionals to lead projects that improve workplace safety, environmental performance, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

You will have opportunities to develop technical expertise, influence operations, and build leadership skills while supporting continuous improvement across our facilities in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or safety field; graduation between Dec 2026 and May 2027.
• Must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate to Butler, WI; Friona, TX; Blair, NE; or Hutchinson, KS.
• Right to work in the U.S. not based solely on student or visa sponsorship.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and related regulations.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and take initiative with limited guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to improve safety and environmental performance.
• Develop and deliver training programs for safe work practices.
• Assist in incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Support audits, inspections, and customer visits as needed.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance to drive continuous improvement.
• Use data analytics to identify trends and track performance.
