Exyte is seeking an EHS Advisor in Aix-en-Provence to support the implementation of the Construction EHS Plan. This field-based role ensures that construction activities comply with regulatory EHS requirements while promoting a safe workplace. Responsibilities include site inspections, EHS guidance for managers and workers, and monitoring infrastructure safety. Candidates should have a Bac +2 in EHS, minimum 2 years in a similar role, fluent French, and English level B2. A good knowledge of safety practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of construction site experience in an EHS role.
• Fluent in French (mandatory) and English level B2 minimum.
• EHS trainings (SST, working at height, scaffolding) are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform site safety supervision through regular inspections and walkthroughs.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Provide on-site EHS guidance and support.
• Verify the implementation and adequacy of RAMS and work permits.
• Monitor site infrastructure and report deficiencies.
• Support emergency response and Incident Free Workplace initiatives.

The EHS Advisor supports the implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of the Construction EHS Plan on site. The role is predominantly field‑based, with a strong on‑site presence, ensuring that construction activities are executed in compliance with Exyte, client, and applicable regulatory EHS requirements, while actively promoting a safe and incident‑free workplace.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Perform site safety supervision through regular inspections and walkthroughs to identify unsafe conditions and behaviours
• Monitor construction activities and ensure corrective actions from inspections, audits, and EHS meetings are implemented
• Provide on‑site EHS guidance and support to Construction Managers, Supervisors, and workers
• Verify the implementation and adequacy of RAMS, Safe Plans of Action (SPA/LMRA), and work permits where required
• Monitor site infrastructure (escape routes, emergency routes, traffic, lighting) and report deficiencies
• Escalate unsafe situations immediately and support emergency response and Incident Free Workplace (IFW) initiatives

• Degree (Bac +2 or equivalent) in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
• Minimum 2 years of construction site experience in an EHS role
• Good knowledge of construction site safety practices and hazard identification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence working on site
• Computer literacy for EHS monitoring, reporting, and documentation
• Fluent French (mandatory) and English level B2 minimum; EHS trainings (SST, working at height, scaffolding) are a plus
