Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an EEG Technician to obtain standard and special EEG recordings and monitor related physiological phenomena using appropriate techniques and instrumentation.

The role involves operating in routine, sleep and intraoperative EEG procedures, providing first aid when needed, maintaining equipment, and supporting residents, physicians and other staff. High school diploma required; AMA-accredited EEG program preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training preferred.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and web-based apps.

Responsibilities

• Records EEG data for routine, sleep, and special procedures.
• Performs intraoperative EEG monitoring and applies/removes electrodes during surgery.
• Provides first aid for electrophysiological patients.
• Cleans, maintains equipment and lab storage; supports data handling.
• Acts as resource for residents, physicians and technicians.
