Overview

The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape and lead the end-to-end Supply Chain agenda for France.

As Supply Chain Director, you will translate the France business strategy into a clear and integrated supply chain plan, leading execution across customer collaboration, demand and supply planning, inventory, warehousing, transportation, co-manufacturing, and connectivity with the Western Europe manufacturing network.

As a member of the France Leadership Team, you will play a dual role:delivering excellent service and operational performance today, while building the capabilities, network, and organization needed for future growth.

You will work closely with teams across France, Western Europe, EMEA, and Global functions to drive transformation, strengthen customer partnerships, improve cost and efficiency, and build a resilient, high-performing supply chain.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Lead the end-to-end Supply Chain strategy

• Set the multi-year Supply Chain strategy and annual operating plan for France, in partnership with the France General Manager and Leadership Team.
• Translate business priorities into clear supply chain choices, investments, and execution plans.
• Connect the France agenda with broader Western Europe and EMEA priorities.

Deliver service and enable growth

• Own end-to-end customer service, product availability, and supply chain performance.
• Partner across functions to make effective trade-offs when demand, capacity, inventory, cost, or complexity compete.
• Ensure the Supply Chain organization can support evolving customer, channel, portfolio, and growth needs.

Lead integrated business planning

• Lead the Supply Chain contribution to IBP / S&OP, creating an aligned view of demand, supply, capacity, inventory, innovation, and financial implications.
• Ensure risks and opportunities are identified early and translated into clear decisions and actions.

Drive cost, cash, and productivity

• Lead the Supply Chain budget, cost agenda, and productivity pipeline.
• Improve cost-to-serve, inventory health, working capital, and network efficiency while maintaining strong standards for safety, quality, and service.

Shape a future-ready Supply Chain network

• Guide sourcing, co-manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation decisions for France.
• Ensure the network has the right capacity and capabilities to support the business over the short, medium, and long term.
• Partner with Western Europe teams to optimize connectivity with the broader manufacturing network.

Build resilience and manage risk

• Lead Supply Chain business continuity, scenario planning, and crisis response.
• Anticipate potential constraints and develop practical mitigation plans with suppliers, co-manufacturers, logistics partners, and regional teams.

Lead transformation and digital adoption

• Drive the evolution of Supply Chain ways of working in partnership with Global, EMEA, and Western Europe teams.
• Sponsor transformation across processes, network, data, and technology.
• Simplify ways of working and turn digital capabilities into measurable improvements in service, productivity, and decision-making.
• Track transformation progress and proactively address risks or barriers to delivery.

Strengthen customer partnerships

• Partner closely with Sales and key customers to move beyond transactional service management toward joint value creation.
• Build stronger planning, simpler operations, and improved outcomes for both the business and its customers.

Protect people, consumers, and reputation

• Ensure strong execution of health and safety, food safety, quality, sustainability, legal, control, and corporate standards across the Supply Chain scope, including third-party operations.

Build a high-performing organization

• Create clarity, accountability, and strong collaboration across direct and matrix teams.
• Attract, develop, and retain diverse talent while strengthening succession for critical roles.
• Build a culture of empowerment, continuous learning, healthy challenge, and high performance.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

Education

• University degree or equivalent professional experience in Supply Chain, engineering, operations, business, or a related field.
• A postgraduate qualification is valued but not required.

Experience

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain leader who brings:

• Significant leadership experience in end-to-end Supply Chain, operations, or a closely related field, with increasing scope and complexity.
• Broad experience across multiple Supply Chain disciplines, such as planning, logistics, customer collaboration, manufacturing, or co-manufacturing.
• Experience owning outcomes across areas such as service, cost, inventory, productivity, and transformation in a complex organization.
• Experience with IBP / S&OP, network design, third-party operations, digital transformation, or advanced performance management.
• A track record of leading leaders and multidisciplinary teams through change while maintaining strong operational performance.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to translate business strategy into clear priorities and execution.
• Confidence working with senior internal and external stakeholders, including customers and strategic operating partners.
• Fluent French and professional English, enabling effective leadership in France and collaboration across Western Europe.

While not essential, we would particularly value:

• Experience in FMCG, consumer goods, retail-facing supply chains, or another high-volume, service-critical environment.
• Exposure to food safety, quality, engineering, sustainability, or business continuity.
• Experience working across countries and cultures and successfully influencing within a matrixed organization.
