Job summary

Sonic Drive-In seeks a General Manager to lead all drive-in operations, coach staff, and ensure guest satisfaction. This role requires hands-on leadership, financial acumen, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

You will recruit, train, and develop team members, manage costs, schedules, and inventory, and partner with the Area Supervisor to drive local marketing and guest experience excellence. Willingness to work long hours is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience.
• Experience leading shifts without supervision.
• Knowledge of labor and safety regulations.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate staff.
• Manage staff compensation levels per guidelines.
• Supervise all drive-in operations for optimal guest experience.
• Oversee opening and closing duties.
• Address guest issues/concerns effectively.
• Address employee issues/concerns promptly.
• Plan forecast and adjust food, labor, inventory to control costs.
• Lead regular team meetings to maintain standards.
• Prepare operational reports and maintain records.
• Develop and manage local marketing and business performance.
• Ensure maintenance of drive-in and equipment; supervise vendors.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, laws, and sanitation standards.
