Job summary

The Port of Portland is seeking a Director of Marine Operations and Property Management to lead three marine terminals and five industrial parks, ensuring safe operations, reliable facilities, and strong tenant relationships.

You will guide maintenance, asset stewardship, and capital planning while collaborating with commercial teams to align service delivery with the Port's strategy and economic goals. Hybrid work options are available for this senior leadership role.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of progressive experience in marine operations management, commercial real estate, property management, and/or related field.
• Five+ years of leading teams or the combined equivalent of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree – Business, public administration, contract law, real estate, or related field.
• TSA Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

Responsibilities

• Direct marine terminal operations and tenant relationships by setting strategic priorities and ensuring lease/commercial compliance.
• Lead maintenance, security, engineering, and IT services to meet performance standards.
• Drive safe, reliable terminal performance and adapt to changing needs.
• Oversee asset management, capital projects, and lifecycle plans for facilities.
