Job summary

CMA CGM is seeking a Deputy Fleet Director for CMA Ships to drive fleet performance, safety and sustainability across the containerships fleet. You will develop standards, lead improvement plans, and coordinate with the Technical Director to implement fleet maintenance and performance governance.

Role requires extensive experience in ship management, strong technical knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of experience in ship and technical management.
• Significant background in technical and ship-management activities.
• Technical environment knowledge and vessel systems expertise.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Comply with IMS and all relevant rules and regulations.
• Lead continuous performance improvement for fleet management.
• Coordinate budgets, cost reviews, and dry-docking prior to tendering.
• Develop and maintain fleet maintenance policy and governance.
• Produce monthly operational packs and dashboards for decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliability, safety and cost objectives.
• Escalate issues to Fleet Director with recommended options.
