Datadog is seeking a Platform Engineer/SRE-inspired role focused on service management, incident response, and on-call operations. You will craft technical storytelling—blogs, demos, webinars, and open source contributions—while collaborating with product teams to shape customer-facing messaging and integrations.

You will leverage your experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure to produce high-quality content and help communities grow around Datadog's observability platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Platform Engineer, SRE, DevOps, or Software Developer with on-call/incident responder experience.
• Strong understanding of incident response, on-call, post-incident reviews, and SLOs using tools like Datadog, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, incident.io, Rootly, Jira Cloud.
• Passion for helping teams fix organizational challenges and sharing knowledge broadly.
• 2+ years storytelling/creativity: writing, talks, workshops, videos, open source contributions, community events.
• Publicly available writing samples, blogs, demos, or talks on technical topics.
• Comfort with at least one scripting language (Node.js, Python, Go, bash) and APIs; familiar with cloud and containers.
• Curiosity for new technologies and languages.

Responsabilités

• Be a subject matter expert for service management for advocacy and engineering teams.
• Create content across mediums to build Datadog's reputation in DevOps, Monitoring, Observability and Security.
• Collaborate with product engineering to build demos and coach teams on communication and presentation.
• Engage with open source communities to drive messaging and develop integrations for Datadog.
• Contribute to the product via feedback, documentation, or code.
