Canonical is seeking a product leader to drive the desktop experience roadmap and partner with silicon vendors and OEMs. You will guide go-to-market strategies, engage with the Ubuntu user community, and align cross-functional teams to deliver world-class open source software.

The role emphasizes lifecycle leadership from conception to launch, blending technical depth with business strategy, analytics, and stakeholder communication. Remote work across the EMEA region is expected.

Qualifications

• Exceptional academic results at high school and university.
• Understanding of Linux and the wider open source software community.
• Understanding of computer architecture, enterprise IT, cloud or devices.
• Passion to write about technologies and the tech landscape.
• A strong work ethic, and personal interests aligned with the open source movement.
• Curiosity and habit of continuous learning.
• Strong sense of ownership.
• Problem solving and the ability to innovate.
• Outstanding English communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for company events.

Responsabilités

• Lead the product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals for your product.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams.
• Address challenges, align on priorities, enable informed decisions, and keep execution on track.
• Conduct market research, analyse trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates, and key decisions to ensure alignment.
• Conduct usability testing, analyse feedback, and iterate to improve UX.
• Collaborate on go-to-market strategies, product documentation, and training.
• Contribute to sales success through customer meetings and feedback.
