Canonical is a leading open source software company providing Ubuntu and related services to enterprises worldwide. The Senior Product Manager will own the desktop product vision and roadmap, work with silicon vendors and OEMs, and drive GTM strategies to grow and sustain open-source adoption.

The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering, design, marketing and sales, with a focus on market opportunities, user experience and strategic execution in an international remote setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic results at high school and university.
• Understanding of Linux and the wider open source software community.
• Understanding of computer architecture, application development, enterprise IT, cloud or devices.
• Passion to write about technologies and the tech landscape.
• Strong work ethic and ownership aligned with open source values.
• Curiosity and habit of continuous learning.
• Strong sense of ownership.
• Problem solving and ability to innovate.
• Outstanding English communication, both spoken and written.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for company events.

Responsabilités

• Lead the product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals for your product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and sales.
• Address challenges across projects, align on priorities, enable informed decisions, and keep execution on track.
• Conduct market research, analyze trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates, and key decisions to ensure alignment.
• Conduct usability testing, analyze feedback, and iterate on the product to improve UX.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and support to develop go-to-market strategies and provide training.
• Support sales by reviewing customer feedback and participating in meetings.
