Canonical is a leading open source software company known for Ubuntu and related products. We are seeking a product leader who will drive the desktop product roadmap, collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and sales, and influence go-to-market strategies.

You will lead lifecycle management from conception to delivery, blending technical expertise with strategic thinking, analytics, and communication to deliver outstanding open source experiences across markets.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Linux and the wider open source software community.
• Understanding of computer architecture, application development, enterprise IT, cloud or devices.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for company events up to two weeks long.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Passion to write about technologies and the tech landscape.

Responsabilités

• Lead the product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals for the product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing and sales.
• Address challenges across projects, align on priorities, enable informed decisions and keep execution on track.
• Conduct market research, analyse industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to ensure alignment.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate on the product to improve user experience.
• Collaborate on go-to-market strategies, product documentation and training.
• Contribute to sales success by reviewing customer feedback and participating in meetings.
