Maritime Voyage Operations Manager

Job summary

Join CMA CGM Group in Marseille as a Ship Manager, responsible for the operational monitoring of vessel voyages and port operations. You will work with Captains and shore teams to ensure loading plans meet safety rules and Line policy, maintaining safety and efficiency across the journey.

The role requires on-board experience, strong English, and good IT and planning skills, with flexibility for peak times and shifts as needed to support global operations.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree from a Generalist or Mechanical Engineering School or a National Maritime School.
• On-board experience, ideally as a Merchant Navy deck officer, would be a strong asset.
• Familiarity with planning and/or vessel stability calculation software is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vessels seaworthiness throughout the voyage in collaboration with Captains/Second Officers.
• Check material equipment for productivity and port turnaround with Terminals and Agents.
• Monitor and manage special loadings (dangerous cargo, Reefers, OOG) according to regulations.
• Evaluate feasibility of Changes of Destination (COD) based on position on board and requests from sales teams.
• Validate Port Call Reports (PCR) from Agents.
• Develop statistics and monitor bunkers consumption.
