Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Data Platform Engineer (Mid-level) based in France to transform a data and ML platform into a scalable, self-service environment. You’ll build pipelines, IaC modules, and reusable tooling across data, backend, and infra teams, contributing to reliable systems for a global shipping platform.

You will own platform tooling roadmap, improve governance, and collaborate with an experienced Data & AI team to deliver impactful solutions with accountability and technical rigor.

Qualifications

• End-to-end deployment ownership with runbook documentation.
• 2+ years of professional experience in software, data, platform, DevOps or infra.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for engineering tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
• Ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases and troubleshoot issues.
• Familiarity with Docker and AWS; SageMaker experience not required.
• Cross-functional collaboration across data, backend, and infrastructure.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development and reviewing generated code.
• Ownership mindset with accountability and transparency.
• Respect for established patterns and clear technical communication.
• Willingness to learn new tools and domains.

Responsibilities

• Improve CI/CD pipelines and adapt workflows for reliable delivery.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code and reusable modules.
• Apply data governance standards for new data services.
• Build self-service platform tooling and reusable templates.
• Create modules to simplify pipeline creation and standardize workflows.
• Enhance technical documentation, runbooks, and guides.
• Own data access workflows and approval processes.
• Progress toward full responsibility for tooling roadmap.
• Collaborate with data, backend, and infra teams for reliability.
• Incorporate AI-assisted tools while validating code.
