Job summary

Back Market is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity & IT to define and lead security and technology operations maturity. Reporting to the VP of Platform Engineering, you will shape strategy across cybersecurity, IT risk, governance, and compliance while enabling fast business growth.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, set investment priorities, establish governance, and drive secure product and platform initiatives across global offices.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading large, multi-disciplinary security/IT organizations.
• Experience translating business goals into practical security roadmaps.
• Strong communication skills with executive and board-level audiences.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for cybersecurity & IT across the organization.
• Own governance forums, budgeting, program tracking, KPIs, and risk reviews.
• Lead, coach, and develop senior leaders across Security Operations, GRC, IT Ops, and Security Engineering.
• Partner with Finance and senior technology leadership on investment cases and vendor strategy.
• Build a security-enabled culture and align security initiatives with business objectives.
