Customs Support Group (CSG) is seeking an AI Engineer to lead development and customization of its AI stack for the market. In a builder-and-doer role you will design, test and implement practical, compliant AI solutions on top of foundation models, focusing on document understanding, retrieval, and agentic workflows for customs declarations.

You will work closely with Operations, Transformation, IT and Group teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions, while ensuring privacy and

Qualifications

• 1-2 years AI engineering or intelligent automation experience.
• Strong Python and SQL with production code ownership.
• Experience integrating large language models into production systems.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud AI platform (Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex).
• Solid full stack backend fundamentals — APIs, data pipelines, testing, CI/CD.

Responsabilités

• Develop and customise AI solutions for the market, from prototype through to production ownership.
• Identify automation opportunities across customs and business processes, sizing them before building.
• Design solutions using generative AI, retrieval, tool calling, and structured extraction.
• Own evaluation: define success criteria and monitor impact post-shipment.
• Manage pilots, implementations, and determine criteria to scale or kill pilots.
• Monitor performance, inference cost, latency and business impact.
• Collaborate with local teams, Group functions and technology partners.
• Contribute to privacy, security and AI governance compliance with Group Legal and IT Security.
