DAF Trucks NV is seeking a Credit Manager to lead credit decisions for truck, parts and services in France, ensuring timely risk assessments and minimized past dues. You will analyze dealer and customer financials, propose credit terms within authority, and collaborate with the European Credit team to support PACCAR sales while protecting cash flow.

This role reports to the Area Credit Manager and includes leadership of one direct report, requiring fluency in French and English and strong

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Business Economics or related field
• Fluent in French and English, verbally and in writing
• Profound understanding of Risk Management
• 3-5 years of experience in Credit or Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing oriented- or dealer network environment
• Excellent communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and prepared to travel
• Has the ability and desire to work accurately
• A drive to identify improvements and implement them in a structured manner
• Strong communication skills, determined, and able to perform in a demanding environment
• Experience with Six Sigma or data analytic tools is preferred

• Manage timely collection of financial statement reports, monitor quality and prepare performance reports
• Manage collection activities effectively to achieve goals and minimize past dues
• Deliver timely and quality input for a variety of reporting

Job Description

The Credit Manager is responsible for taking timely and sound credit decisions within the assigned business area and within delegated authorities, accommodating PACCAR sales while ensuring a clear path to payment and continuous minimization of past dues and credit losses. The Credit Manager recommends decisions for credit requests outside his delegated authority level, develops and implements credit guidelines and ensures compliance with PACCAR credit policies, procedures and objectives. Participation and collaboration with the wider European Credit team and other stakeholders will be required.

Department

The DAF Credit department is an integral part of the DAF business and sales process. It supports sales activities with an international team by underwriting credit facilities for all DAF dealers and customers and by doing so, securing a Clear path to Payment. Credit approval is required for all trucks that are put into production as well as the parts and services that are delivered. Credit is also responsible for the timely collection of trade receivables, and related reporting.
