Sonoco in France seeks a Treasury Operations professional to verify and control treasury transactions, including cash movements, payments, and financing, ensuring accuracy and timely settlement.

The role also covers bank confirmations, reconciliations, risk management, and process improvements, with exposure to ERP/TMS systems such as SAP, Kyriba, and Oracle. Fluent English is required in this international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Economics, or a related field.
• Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous in an international environment.
• Experience with ERP and Treasury Management Systems (SAP/Oracle/Kyriba).

Treasury Operations Control

Verify the completeness, accuracy, and validity of treasury transactions. Control cash movements, payments, receipts, financing, and investment transactions. Review and validate bank confirmations and settlement documentation. Monitor debt, deposits, and financial instrument maturities. Ensure timely settlement of treasury transactions.

Accounting and Reconciliation Controls

Review treasury-related accounting entries. Perform or oversee daily bank reconciliations. Validate the accounting treatment of interest, bank fees, and financial charges. Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and operational discrepancies. Preparation of US GAAP financial statements (monthly reporting) Preparation of Dutch GAAP financial staments

Risk Management and Compliance

Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and authorization limits. Verify adherence to segregation of duties principles. Participate in SOX and internal control testing where applicable. Support fraud prevention initiatives and payment security controls. Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes and controls. Contribute to automation and digital transformation initiatives. Maintain and update treasury procedures and operating manuals. Participate in Treasury Management System (TMS) implementation and enhancement projects.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of treasury products, financing, and investment instruments. Knowledge of treasury accounting and internal control frameworks. Familiarity with payment systems (SWIFT, SEPA, TARGET, etc.). Advanced Excel skills. Experience with ERP and Treasury Management Systems such as SAP, Oracle, Kyriba, Quantum, or Sage XRT. Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
