GE Vernova in Grenoble is seeking a sourcing leader to drive supplier strategy and commercial sourcing for a defined portfolio within commissioning and construction projects, balancing cost, quality, risk and performance.

The role requires leading negotiations, managing supplier panels, conducting spend and TCO analyses, and guiding cross‑functional stakeholders while mentoring teammates and shaping policies for the sourcing function. Fluent English and French are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Sourcing & Commodity Management, commissioning and construction projects.
• Master's degree or equivalent / substantial experience.
• Language fluency in English and French (written and oral).

Responsabilités

• Define and implement supplier strategy for assigned commodities or services.
• Manage and optimize supplier panels (selection, rationalization, performance monitoring).
• Allocate business needs to appropriate suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, risk and strategic alignment.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers on pricing, terms and conditions.
• Develop negotiation strategies supported by data analysis and market intelligence.
• Agree on commercial terms and transmit final agreements to management and stakeholders.
• Manage commercial claims and disputes with suppliers, coordinating with legal/finance as needed.
• Support and/or execute purchasing activities (RFQs, bids, purchase orders).
• Perform data analysis (spend, cost, performance) to identify savings, consolidation and risk mitigation.
• Provide negotiation and decision support through robust cost, should-cost and TCO analysis.
• Develop and maintain deep expertise in sourcing and commodity management for the assigned category.
• Serve as a best-practice and quality resource within the function.
• Keep abreast of latest developments and incorporate them into ways of working.
• Contribute to strategy and policy development for sourcing/commodity area.
• Act as a resource/mentor for colleagues with less experience in sourcing/commodity management.
• Communicate complex sourcing strategies to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Lead small to medium projects with moderate risk and resource requirements.
• Build consensus across functions on supplier selections, strategies and decisions.
