Airbus SAS in Toulouse, France is seeking a Configuration & Design Retrofit Solution Engineer (C&D RSE) to join the Connected Aircraft retrofit team. You will define and integrate retrofit design solutions for cross-program family aircraft post-delivery, focusing on complex connected aircraft projects and related cabin and cockpit interfaces.

The role requires a university degree in engineering, several years of aerospace experience, and fluent English.

• Experience with retrofit projects and cross-program integration is a plus.
• Ability to read and validate design drawings and certification documents.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate all design activities to meet cost, time and quality targets.
• Manage and validate internal and external engineering work packages and pre-check design drawings.
• Prepare and follow up certification documents and support airworthiness activities.
• Provide engineering data to SB-Production and supply chain; participate in technical meetings.
• Support SB embodiment remotely or on-site worldwide from offer through execution to service bulletin embodiment.

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Configuration & Design Retrofit Solution Engineer (C&D RSE) for Connected Aircraft (f/m) to join our retrofit department based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team developing Connected Aircraft retrofit projects aiming to provide our customers with a safe and reliable connectivity product in accordance with their requests.

As part of the Connected Aircraft Retrofit Solution Team, you will be involved in the definition and integration of retrofit design solutions for cross-program family aircraft post-delivery aiming at focusing on complex Connected Aircraft projects/modifications including associated mechanical and electrical interfaces and adaptation of related cabin and cockpit systems.

Your challenges:

• Coordinate all design activities in terms of cost, time and quality
• Manage and validate internal and external engineering work packages, including pre-check of design drawings
• Prepare and follow-up of all relevant certification documents, e.g. Full-TRS, MAS, IC S and supporting documents, and support airworthiness activities and Safety Management System
• Provide engineering data to SB-Production, supply chain and other involved internal customers, and participate to technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide SB embodiment support remote / on-site (worldwide), supporting activities from offer creation through execution to service bulletin embodiment and final revision of all engineering deliverables

Your boarding pass

• A university degree in engineering or similar will be required.
• You have several years of professional experience in engineering, preferably in the Wide Body Program.
• Existing Technical Approver/Authorizer delegation(s) in a relevant ATA chapter will be of advantage
• Technical project management experience and proficiency in handling typical design tools, such as CCD/CATIA, TAKSY, APS, ICC... are required, as well as fluent English language skills.
• You are able to give guidance to subcontractors and project stakeholders
• A high level of personal responsibility and flexibility as well as willingness to travel are required for this position
• You are a good team player and at the same time you are an autonomous person who has proactive ways of working; You have a strong customer focus
• You have good communication skills and the ability to convince others with your negotiation skills; You are able to present complex topics in a simple and comprehensible manner; You are curious and open-minded for change and continuous improvement; Analytical thinking and structured working methods are very important for you
