Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our compassionate team. Under the direction of the RN or LPN, you will assist in individualized patient care to support wellness and recovery, working as part of a cohesive team.

No prior experience is required, but you must complete a 175-hour state training during orientation and earn BLS within one month. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking during shifts, and a commitment to safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare program.
• BLS certification required within one month of hire.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk during shifts.
• EMT/Paramedic or prior patient care experience preferred.
• CPCT / CNA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.
• Work cooperatively with the healthcare team and participate in orientation and training.
