Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in individualized patient care under RN/LPN supervision and to collaborate with a care team. You will perform clinical procedures and support tasks essential to patient care.

No prior experience required; Mercy provides a 175-hour training during orientation and requires BLS within one month of hire. A strong emphasis is placed on mobility and safety, including lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program
• BLS required within one month of hire
• 175-hour training program during new hire orientation within 90 days
• Preferred certifications: CNA, EMT, AUA, CPCT
• Preferred experience: EMT, Paramedic or previous patient care exposure
