Job summary

Bank of America is hiring an Underwriter for its Global Commercial Banking credit team. The role involves underwriting loans and credit exposure for middle market companies across a broad range of industries, with revenues from $50 million to $2 billion, across multiple U.S.

markets. You will work with Relationship Management and product teams, analyze opportunities, perform portfolio monitoring, and report to a Senior Credit Manager.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• 3 to 10 years of Commercial Banking underwriting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Partner with credit teammates and product teams to develop debt financing solutions.
• Structure bilateral and syndicated loans aligned with client needs and bank risk parameters.
• Analyze ancillary credit exposure for treasury, rates and FX products.
• Perform due diligence and dynamic risk assessments of borrowers, industries and transactions.
• Create credit approval packages and manage the approval process from initiation to final decision.
• Develop financial cash flow and repayment models, including sensitivity analyses.
• Prepare enterprise value, pricing, returns and risk rating models.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policies and procedures.
• Present opportunities to credit and risk leadership with support.
• Collaborate with internal and external legal partners on loan documentation.
• Oversee quarterly monitoring and reporting obligations.
