Job summary

London Stock Exchange is seeking a Cloud Engineer Ops to design, deploy, and maintain resilient cloud infrastructure across VMware, AWS, Azure and Google environments. You will collaborate with development, operations, and partners to ensure high availability and scalable services for critical platforms.

The role requires expertise in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), scripting (Python/Bash) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as Cloud Engineer, SRE or similar role.
• Experience with managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure in regulated or highly available environments.
• Experience with systems monitoring and capacity management.
• Experience in operating in regulated environments with security constraints (2+ years).
• Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development, operations and partner teams to ensure performance and availability.
• Automate deployment, configuration, and maintenance with IaC tools.
• Build and maintain monitoring solutions to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Lead incident management and post-incident reviews.
• Provide mentorship on reliability, automation, and on-call practices.
• Develop and improve automation to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
