Job summary

Airbus Helicopters SAS is seeking an Infrastructure & Automation Engineer to drive automation across Private, Public (AWS, GCP) and Sovereign Cloud environments. You will own virtualization hosting infrastructures, design scalable automation, and ensure security and resilience requirements are met.

You will join the Cloud & DevOps team to implement IaC, GitOps, and platform engineering standards, collaborating with expert teams to deliver robust, secure, and compliant cloud services for MVC

Qualifications

Over 8–10 years of infrastructure engineering experience with a service mindset.
Strong virtualization expertise: Nutanix, VMware; familiar with OpenStack/OpenShift Virt.
Proficient in automation tooling: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, PowerCLI, ARIA Automation.
GitOps, IaC, and public cloud familiarity (AWS, GCP).
Kubernetes orchestration knowledge; observability tools like Zabbix, Dynatrace, Grafana.

Responsibilities

Eliminate toil by designing and implementing a full automation framework.
Define automated deployment standards using IaC and GitOps across multiple clouds.
Onboard and integrate Sovereign Cloud with automation and security scanning.
Lead security patching, asset lifecycle management, and CMDB data quality.
Support resilience, automation of VM lifecycles, and recovery workflows (IRE).
Collaborate with Hosting & Cloud Services to ensure cross-team consistency.
