Jobtailor in Paris is seeking a senior Cloud Architect to design and deploy high-performance cloud-native infrastructures on GCP, with a strong focus on Terraform, CI/CD, and data sovereignty.

You will translate business needs into scalable, secure architectures, mentor engineers, and collaborate in an agile squad while contributing to AI and LLM systems.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master's degree in computer science, distributed systems, cloud computing, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in cloud architecture and distributed systems.
• Specialization in deploying scalable infrastructures.
• Knowledge of AI systems is a plus.
• Consulting firm experience is an advantage.
• Strong experience with GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, AlloyDB, Pub/Sub, Cloud Armor, Artifact Registry); AWS/Azure experience also relevant.
• Strong understanding of data sovereignty requirements.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Advanced DevOps: CI/CD, GitOps, deployment strategies, and managing multi-environment setups.
• Strong cloud networking and security: VPC, firewalls, IAM, Workload Identity, load balancing.

• Design, architect, and deploy high-performance cloud-native infrastructures on GCP
• Translate business requirements into robust, scalable, highly available, and sovereign architectures
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi
• Build CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build and GitHub Actions
• Design deployment strategies and manage end-to-end observability with Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging
• Contribute to the design and operation of AI and LLM systems
• Actively use coding assistants and LLMs in the daily workflow
• Collaborate with Product Owners and business teams within an agile squad
• Participate in internal Guilds, technology watch activities, best-practice sharing, and the creation of reusable architecture assets

• Work under the guidance of a Lead responsible for the overall quality of delivery

Requirements

• Engineering degree or Master's degree in computer science, distributed systems, cloud computing, or a related field
• Significant experience—ideally 3 to 5 years—in cloud architecture and distributed systems
• Demonstrated specialization in deploying scalable infrastructures
• Knowledge of AI systems is a plus
• Consulting firm experience is an advantage
• Strong experience with GCP (GCP-first approach), particularly GKE, Cloud Run, AlloyDB, Pub/Sub, Cloud Armor, and Artifact Registry; experience with AWS or Azure is also relevant
• Strong understanding of data sovereignty requirements
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
• Advanced DevOps expertise: CI/CD, GitOps, progressive deployment strategies, and management of development, staging, and production environments
• Strong command of cloud networking and security fundamentals: VPC, firewalls, fine-grained IAM, Workload Identity, and load balancing
• Strong AI mindset for designing and coding, with integrated assistance tools incorporated into the working methodology
