The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) invites applications for an internship in Environmental and Social Sustainability (ESS) in Paris. The 6-month program, starting February 2027, offers exposure to due diligence, climate risk assessment, and inter-unit collaboration within the TA Division.

The intern will support social and environmental safeguards, contribute to climate-change reviews, and help strengthen monitoring of environmental, social and climate benefits.

Formación

• Graduated within the past 24 months or currently in the final academic year in social studies, political sciences, community development, planning, applied economics, environmental sciences or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, communication and writing skills; ability to handle multiple, shifting priorities and deadlines.
• English or French fluency with working knowledge of the other preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to social and environmental safeguards due diligence of new project proposals, in line with the ESSP.
• Contribute to assessing project proposals from a climate change perspective, in line with the Bank's climate approach.
• Support collaboration with other CEB units to mobilise technical expertise.
• Help strengthen the methodological framework for due diligence and monitoring of environmental, social and climate benefits.
