Europcar Mobility Group in Melbourne’s Tullamarine HQ is seeking a self-motivated Claims Officer to join our Claims team on a full-time basis. You will handle backend administrative duties, proactively contact customers regarding damages, and maintain accurate and complete file records for all claims.

You will investigate vehicle damage cases, gather information to raise new claims, prepare paperwork for refunds or recoveries, respond to inquiries, and support best practice in claims processing.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and calm, professional approach.
• Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written.
• Knowledge of insurance claims management database or similar.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Address customer complaints and resolve conflicts in best interest of all parties.
• Computer literacy is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Proactively resolve any issues that may inhibit the flow of work.
• Developing knowledge of Europcar Rental Terms and Conditions.
• Ensuring the customer is treated fairly and receives excellent service per guidelines.
• Internal project management for best Claims practices quarterly.
• Negotiate liability settlements with insurers, legal representatives, third parties, Europcar customers and recovery agents.
• Recovery of damage liability fees and losses.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Claims Officer to join our Claims team based in Tullamarine HQ on a full time basis. This role will be responsible for handling the backend administrative duties and proactively contacting customers regarding damagers. The successful candidate will also be in charge of keeping accurate and complete file records for all customers which includes prepping files for recover.

Your key duties and responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to:

• Investigating vehicle damage cases, advise probable outcome and communicate to customer and internal departments
• Gathering and sorting relevant information in order to raise and process new claims
• Preparing paperwork for refund/charge transactions or outsource recovery allocation
• Dealing with telephone inquiries regarding claims and provide information as requested
• Maintaining accurate file notes surrounding financial transactions and case development
• Responding to email queries
• Proactively resolve any issues that may inhibit the flow of work
• Developing a sound knowledge or Europcar Rental Terms and Conditions
• Ensuring the customer is treated fairly and that the customer receives excellent service in accordance with company guidelines
• Internal project management for best Claims practices on a quarterly basis
• Negotiate liability settlements with Insurers, Legal Representatives, Third Parties direct, Europcar Customers and Insurance Replacement Debt Recovery Agents
• Recovery of Damage Liability Fees and losses

To be considered, you should possess:

• Strong customer service skills and being able maintain a calm and professional approach
• Exceptional level of communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of Insurance Claims Management database or similar
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure to meet deadlines
• Possesses problem-solving skills
• Ability to address customer complaints and resolve conflicts in the best interest of all parties involved
• Computer literate is highly desirable
• Proven ability to work in a team environment

At the end of the 19th century, the car was a luxury reserved for the elite, but interested everyone, attracting crowds: in 1898, the first car show was held in Paris. Car rental will see the light a few years later, across the Atlantic, but its development will be stopped by the first and then by the Second World Wars. In the aftermath of the war, a Parisian entrepreneur revived the idea: "If you can’t afford to buy a car, why not rent one when you need it?". His name was Raoul-Louis Mattei and in 1949, he created "L'Abonnement Automobile": a company that would later become the Compagnie Internationale Europcars, then Europcar. Its headquarters, located 11 rue du Champ de Mars also included a rental agency. The company's success was rapid, as car rental responded to a real need. In 1951, l’Abonnement Automobile was the first company for car rental without a driver and its fleet counted 750 4 CV.
