Job summary

Palicao is seeking a Head of Risk and Permanent Control Officer for its Pan-African bank client in Paris. The role reports to the CRO and sits within the Risk Management Department of the Paris branch.

The job entails leading the risk function, ensuring AML/CFT compliance, and coordinating second-line controls, risk reporting, and governance across the bank. Fluency in English and French is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-10 years post-graduation experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Numerate Discipline, or related Business discipline.
• Fluent in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Oversee risk management framework across the Bank.
• Develop risk reporting for Executive and Board.
• Define ICAAP/ILAAP/RRP frameworks and stress testing.
• Maintain governance systems and committee structures.
• Embed risk culture through training and communication.
• Coordinate second-level controls and internal controls.
• Monitor outsourced activities and contracts with providers.
• Prepare annual internal control and AML-CFT reports.
