Alma is seeking a Head of Legal & Data Protection Officer to shape the company’s legal strategy, lead regulatory compliance and privacy programs, and partner with Product, Tech, Sales and Operations across Europe. This role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on negotiation, drafting and risk management.

You will oversee corporate governance, manage external counsel, and ensure GDPR compliance while supporting international expansion and cross‑functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in law or equivalent qualification.
• 15+ years in senior legal positions (banking/FinTech and law firm).
• Strong expertise in banking, commercial and technology contracts, corporate matters.

Responsabilités

• Define and lead Alma’s legal strategy and roadmaps.
• Advise Product, Tech, Sales and other teams on legal and privacy considerations.
• Negotiate and draft commercial agreements with merchants, partners and suppliers.
• Establish scalable contracting standards, templates and playbooks.
• Oversee corporate governance, filings and external counsel coordination.
• Lead the Data Protection Officer function and privacy program.
• Develop the Legal team and manage headcount, budget and priorities.
