Stim Studio in Montpellier is seeking a skilled Character Designer for an on-site role on an animated series. You will research anatomy, silhouettes, and expressions, develop multiple directions, and deliver production-ready character sheets for storyboard, animation and production teams.

You'll collaborate closely with the Director and Art Director, translating the artistic direction into cohesive characters while meeting deadlines within a 9-month contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Character Designer (Mid to Senior) on professional productions.
• Excellent drawing, design, and character research abilities.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, proportions, volumes, silhouettes, and body language.
• Understanding of shape language to differentiate characters.
• Ability to design expressive, production-ready characters for animation Constraints.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and expand characters adhering to the artistic direction.
• Conduct character research across silhouettes, anatomy, faces, costumes, expressions, and poses.
• Create turnarounds, expression sheets, pose sheets, and costume research.
• Develop multiple graphic directions from briefs and finalize production-ready designs.
• Work efficiently within a series production pipeline and meet deadlines.
